T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise to help us reconnect with nature.  Modern life has caused us to separate ourselves from nature.  Some images we use in T’ai Chi practice:

Stand like a mountain, Flow like a great river.

The feet are rooted into the earth - like roots of a tree.

The top of the head feels as if it is pressing against heaven.

An ancient Chinese sage said:  Fish swim in water, human beings swim in the air.

In the oxygen rich atmosphere of the Conservatory and the Garden Center, join us to learn the basic principles and movements of T’ai Chi Ch’uan.
